For example, when he sells a garbage disposal, he tells the customer to always use cold water when rinsing greasy food down the drain. “Hot water liquefies the grease and sends it down into the pipes,” he says. “As the grease cools, it collects in the pipes and can clog the drain. But if you need to clear a clogged drain, try running very hot water (be careful to avoid the hot water’s contact with your skin), as this can often remove a grease buildup.” Get advice >>>
